Prof. Rajat Sharma is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur. He has research experience of 6 years. His current research interest targets the analysis of the marketing consequences of the Internet and digital media on industries and markets. He has expertise in the application of analytics in business, with specific emphasis on marketing, sustainability, retailing and E-commerce. He has used many statistical tools in his research including SPSS, LISREL, SmartPLS, Excel and R. He is also assisting numerous start-ups in their digital and analytical needs.
He has consulted in various capacities for A.P. Civil Supplies Corporation, Winning Matters, UTC Aerospace Systems, Leisure Hotels and many other firms on realizing business value from marketing investments, internet marketing and business analytics. He has presented papers in several international conferences such as INFORMS Marketing Science conference at Boston and AMS World Marketing Congress at Atlanta. His work is published in journals and conference proceedings. He is currently teaching courses on Marketing Analytics and Digital Marketing at IIM Kashipur.
Prof. Sharma received his Fellowship (Ph.D.) in Marketing from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He is a post-graduate in Mathematics and before joining IIM Bangalore, taught it to under-graduate and post-graduate students for three years.
